Apple unveiled the new 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M5 chip in Cupertino, California. This new M5 chip brings faster CPU, GPU, and AI performance – up to 3.5x faster AI and 1.6x faster graphics than the previous generation. It has a neural Accelerator in each GPU core and an improved Neural Engine for on-device AI and LLMs. The biggest upgrade in this 14-inch MacBook is 24 hours of battery life and faster SSD performance for video and photo workflows.
It also provides up to 7.7x faster AI video performance than M1 models. You will experience up to 6.8x faster 3D rendering and 3.2x higher gaming frame rates plus 20% faster CPU and 1.6x faster GPU than M4. It can be a huge performance jump for Intel and M1 upgraders. It supports up to two external 6K or one 8K display.
