Both Apple iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max offer a solid aluminum design that’s extruded, heated, forged, and lightweight. These pro models come with a new camera design, a more powerful camera system, and a chip built for Apple Intelligence; this is the most powerful chip ever made for any iPhone. It designed a new cooling system. It cycles deionized water between liquid and gas within a vapor chamber, laser-welded to the chassis, that rapidly dissipates heat throughout the unibody.
iPhone 17 Pro is the most cinematic camera they have ever made. The advanced camera system records ProRes RAW. A 56-percent larger Telephoto sensor captures sharper imagery in all light conditions, with 8x optical-quality zoom to get even closer to the action. iPhone 17 Pro lets you create setups that would be impossible with conventional cameras.
For stills, all three lenses are now 48 megapixels, and the new Telephoto provides classic framing for portraiture and action photography. The 18-megapixel front camera records you and everyone around you, while Center Stage expands to include the whole team.
The brightest display plays it all back in ProMotion, up to 120Hz. Its display is coated with an anti-reflective coating. Ceramic Shield now protects the back as well as the front, and the display is now three times more scratch-resistant.
