Apple rolled out new iOS 26.2 for iPhone 17 and other iPhone users. This 26.2 update includes enhancements to Liquid Glass, Apple Music, Podcasts, AirDrop, and Games, as well as some other important features, specs, bug fixes, and security updates for your iPhone.
What brings the new iPhone iOS 26.2 update?
You may think this iOS 26.2 update brings new things, but in reality, there are some minor changes in the existing features. However, iOS 26.1 brings some useful features. Let’s find out what is new in the iOS 26.2 update.
Liquid Glass Customisation:
The new Liquid Glass customisation option allows you to further adjust its appearance by changing its opacity.
Alarms for Reminders:
Alarms for Reminders assist you in staying on top of urgent tasks. They also support snooze and Live Activity features, so you can skip reminders if you’re not ready to complete them.
AirDrop:
AirDrop codes provide an extra layer of verification when using AirDrop with unknown contacts. The receiver’s device will display a code that the sender must enter to complete the transfer.
Home App:
The Home app now supports Multipack accessory pairing, allowing you to use the same setup code to easily enrol multiple accessories when purchased together.
Flash for Alerts:
In Accessibility settings, Flash for Alerts offers the option to have the device screen flash when you receive a notification.
Tables in Freeform:
Tables in Freeform now support the ability to create and edit tables.
Freeform tables can hold text, images, documents, and drawings, with intelligently resizing cells that bring structure to the infinite canvas.
