Mark Zuckerberg Tries to Calm Neighbors by Gifting Headphones

Mark Zuckerberg Gifting Headphones

Mark Zuckerberg, the head and CEO of Meta and Facebook, has gifted noise-cancelling headphones to his neighbors in Palo Alto. He has 11 homes in Palo Alto, and now construction and renovation work is going on there. As a result, a lot of heavy noise and disruption is affecting his neighbors. To settle down tensions, he gifted noise-cancelling headphones to his neighbors in Palo Alto.

Mark Zuckerberg purchased around 11 homes on Edgewood Drive and Hamilton Avenue over the last 14 years. He spent more than $110 million on more construction and renovation. A few decades ago, this area was a very calm and polite residential place to live. It was the living place for lawyers, businessmen, professors, and other high officials. But now construction activities, surveillance, and lavish parties have been disturbing the local people.

Many neighbors complained about construction noise, street blockages, and debris, and Zuckerberg’s staff offered gifts (food items, boxes of Krispy Kreme donuts, and several other gifts) to appease neighbors who complained about it.

This isn’t the first time Zuckerberg has had a disagreement with his neighbors over his real estate ventures. In 2016, Palo Alto officials turned down a proposal that involved tearing down four homes to build smaller houses with larger basements as part of a shared compound. Although the city rejected the specific application, Zuckerberg eventually went ahead step by step, doing similar work locally. He managed to avoid further regulatory hurdles by spreading his efforts.

Since then, the Palo Alto City Council and some of the residents have accused the Facebook CEO of exploiting zoning loopholes and the city’s regulatory complacency. Zuckerberg’s residential portfolio is still a long way from being limited to Palo Alto. He has a 2, 300, acre estate in Kauai, Hawaii, where his land acquisitions and building plans have, at times, stirred up local controversy. In addition to that, he has homes in Lake Tahoe and a mansion in Washington, D.C.
