Apple now offically cancelled AirPower wireless charger. It is totally dead, project is over, no replacement. It is not a big deal at all in wireless charging but it becomes very strange because of the things played out and because AirPower suppose to be. So the AirPower originally announced with the iPhone X become two years ago and suppose to be wireless charging mat in a way probably a picture of seen to charge the iPhone, iPad and apple watch all the same time. But it could not match that high standard because a 3rd party was building them.
Dan Riccio, Apple’s senior vice presidents said: “AirPower will not achieve our high standards and we have canceled the project”. It is also said that t is canceled due to “over overheating issues”. Yes, wireless charging pad or surface produce more heat. That’s why they canceled it.
Apple also apologizes to those customers who were looking forward to this release it.
